Younousse Tamekloe is space architect, visual artist, and author. Younousse was born in a beautiful Port Gentil, the second-largest city of Gabon and the center of the country’s wood and petroleum business. Younousse felt a strong passion for art at a very early age and was praised at school for his incredible drawing skills. Later, Younousse spent three years working in the studio of an internationally recognized painter DABLA Ayaovi Sessofia while studying art and design in college.

Younousse’s early artworks were shown at collective and individual exhibitions, notably in Togo, Burkina Faso, and Ghana. He conducted educational painting workshops for African youngsters in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Togo. Younousse then spent several years practicing and teaching art across Central, West, and North Africa, staying for prolonged periods in Morocco and Algeria. 

Younousse subsequently moved to Western Europe, coming first to Dublin to collaborate with a contemporary art gallery, before moving permanently to Berlin. In Berlin, Younousse worked with different artists and art galleries before becoming independent, all the while developing his own art style and exhibiting his artworks across Europe. 

Younousse currently works in his company Space Octahedron GmbH on developing innovative technologies in the field of aerial robotics.

Social Engagement

Younousse is the founding director of a non-governmental organization (NGO) Tous Ensemble pour le Développement Humain (TEDH – TOGO, eng. Altogether for the Humanitarian Development) in West African Togo. 

TEDH provides support to street orphans as well as kids from poor and vulnerable families, especially in rural areas. Furthermore, the NGO promotes children’s digital education, organizes art workshops, and supports campaigns to improve the health conditions of rural populations and to fight against poverty and all kinds of discrimination. TEDH cultivates the spirit of friendship and solidarity between its members and encourages the continuous professional and personal development of its members.
